Hey Brad, that's awesome! Yeah, Philip is a great guy and I will always be grateful for him introducing me to raw foods. I am painfully overdue for an update. I've recorded some video for my "1 Year Raw" anniversary" which I'd better get up on my blog soon! This month (May) marks that special occasion for me.

Hey dude -- PM has inspired me, too. I am not as heavy as you or he was to begin with, but at 37, with a fatty liver and gall stones and 6'2" and #278, I am scared and looking. I found PM, I found raw foods, bought books, supplies, equipment, etc and am giving it a go. YOU have inspired me as well -- I am bookmarking you and will check in as I (we) continue on this journey. Godd bless and good luck!!!!

Hey everyone, thanks for checking in on me! I know I am painfully behind in posting an update. I'm doing great, enjoying the awesome spring weather and have been once again going for my daily walks.

Oh, so many exciting updates, I can't wait to put up a new video and blog entry, stay tuned!

Kimberly, when I did the original juice fast, I wasn't getting quite a gallon of juice per day, but when I did a shorter-term juice fast in February, I was getting a gallon, or close to a gallon of freshly juiced fruit and vegetable juice (with lots of juiced greens). It made a big difference. Yeah, a gallon. It sounds like a lot, but you get used to it. And you may need to visit the restroom a bit more often... ;)

Hi Peter. Haven't talked to you in a while. Hope you are well. I was just wondering... as I drink lots of juice, but have never been on a juice fast or feast... you said that a feast contained about a gallon of juice daily, but how much juice is consumed on a juice fast daily? Thanks, Kimberly

Way to go... I am proud of you!

Hi Chona, I've heard it's better to have been eating raw for a while before doing a long-term juice fast/feast. But maybe a shorter-term version would be OK in the beginning. Honestly, the best source of information for the juice feasting is
http://recommended.peterdouglasraw.com/juicefeasting

In general, for going raw vegan (and not necessarily a juice feast/fast), organic is best, but to be honest I don't always get organic. The more leafy greens the better. Easy on the nuts and avocados and not too many sweet fruits. That's the general gist of it.

Good luck, keep me posted!
